Nathan's favorite US Navy/Marine aircraft and time period.

I always felt US Navy/Marine aircraft from the post ww2 era have been very forgotten. The aircraft and the air crew!

I find US Navy/Marine aircraft from 1946 to 1955 to be very interesting and fascinating.

So many types of aircraft saw service, yet the aircraft and aircrews go largely forgotten. Does anyone remember meeting any crew members from this era? I sure don't remember! It was always ww2 and Vietnam guys and nobody in between - LOL !

I largely find fascination with most of the early US Navy/Marine aircraft but several of my favorites include:
